M16
What kept Germans speaking German through the Cold War? Millions of the US Army's frontline assault rifles in the hands of US GIs. The M16 is a lightweight, compact long barrel rifle that weighs less, is more accurate, and has a higher rate of fire than its Soviet nemesis. Capable of delivering sustained bursts of fir with much accuracy, the M16 is the perfect weapon for large groups of enemies, but is accurate enough to serve as a sniping weapon. Also, its rounds are quite capable of destroying vehicles and punching through the airframe of helicopters.
