'Air Rescue'

 

     There are helpless people out around VC that need rescuing. Find an Air Ambulance parked on a heli pad at any hospital. Enter it and press UP to begin the 'Air Rescue', a new odd job to GTA. There are 15 levels. Use L1 button and R1 button to turn, and analog stick left & right to roll, when in a helicopter. You must fly to the blue blip(s) on the radar which are patients, and pick them up with the winch at the bottom of the air ambulance. To do so; hover above the patient, release pressure from the X button and slowly lower the helicopter using square until the message "Pick up more patients, or take this one to the nearest hospital" comes. You only have to touch the patient for them to enter the winch. The nearest hospital is marked with a pink blip on your radar - Ocean Beach or Downtown are the two hospitals you will have to take patients to. Lower the heli into the pink marker on the hospital heli pad to rescue the patients. The winch can hold up to four patients, so you will only ever have to make one journey to the hospital per level.

 

 

    Patients will be located in risky places. Some will spawn on rooftops, others will spawn in the sea and some will spawn on the ground. The air ambulance, like all other aircraft, is very easy to destroy. If you start to see sparks then immediately tap X to rise - if you destroy the helicopter the mission will be over. Make your way to the patients the safest way possible, avoiding the streets where there are many obstacles to hit. Flying via the sea is often a good way to not damage your heli. Point the nose of the heli downwards, by pushing the analog stick up, when you are at a high level - you can pick up lots of speed doing this. Patience and practise are key to completing this mission.
