This page will (eventually) walk-you-through every main story mission in GTA: Vice City Stories. This guide may not be redistributed by any other person(s) without permission.
MAINLAND
As a soldier, Vic Vance has always protected his dysfunctional family, his country, himself. One bad decision later and that job is about to get much harder. Kicked out onto the streets of a city torn between glamour and gluttony, Vic is faced with a stark choice - build an empire or be crushed.
The game's introduction cut-scene opens at Fort Baxter air base. You are let through the gates in a Barracks OL, and drive on in to meet your new boss, Sgt. Martinez. He banters with Vic, finally wheedling him into work by explaining how you can make lots of money - nice 'n' easy.
JERRY MARTINEZ MISSION SET:
'Soldier'
Your first job is simple enough - pick up a packet. After Martinez hands you your pager, you will be free to begin. In front of you is a motorbike (Streetfighter) with a large blue arrow pointing above it. Hop on (triangle button) and head to the V.I.P terminal, Escobar international airport, following the pink blip on your radar map. Take as long as you need to get there, because there isn't a time limit - don't get used to this way of working, though, as it will soon change. You can plot your route to the terminal using the start map, should you have any difficult finding it.
When you arrive you will see a pink marker, drive into to and a second cut-scene will play. A man is waiting for you and takes you down to his boat to give you Jerry's stuff. You are taken under fire by a group of men and are forced to abandon ship, luckily you got the package in time. The cut-scene ends and you are in the water - still under fire - quickly swim to the shore tapping X repeadtly and moving from left to right with the analog stick, to dodge the bullets. When you walk up the bank onto land the hitmen will stop shooting. Now all you have to do is head back to Fort Baxter, which is just around the corner, to hide the drugs packet in your barracks. Step into the pink marker outside to complete the first mission. This barracks is your first safehouse. Walk in, save your progress and you're done. Your pager will slide in from the top left of your screen - characters will contact you for work, and the game will tell you what side missions you have unlocked through your 'Beeper 200' pager.

REWARD= $50
'Cleaning House'
In the cut-scene, Martinez tells you to go and meet Phil. He says he has something he'd like to give you. You are provided with a pistol, but it is easier to kill one or two of the soldiers scouting the base, and take their more powerful weapons (you'll see why later). Now borrow a vehicle and drive down to meet Phil at Vice Port. Go into the pink marker to talk with Phil, he's target practising at a shooting range. He stops and explains he hasn't got the money on him, so you must drive him to his old place to get it. You arrive to find the place has been taken over by the Cholos, a deadly Mexican gang. Phil leaves you solo to go in and retrieve it, which means taking out the surrounding Cholo gang members. Equip the M16 you should have stolen from the soldiers at Fort Baxter, and run over to the house. The Cholos will not open fire until you target one, so walk through them to the alleyway at the back. There is a health icon here if you need it.
When you are ready, target and shoot the gang members (you are only required to kill the two highlighted by the red arrows), until a message comes up telling you to go inside. Walk into the green marker to enter the building. A cutscene will show two Cholo gang members snorting drugs. When the cut-scene ends you will have to take them both out - again use the M16 you picked up earlier. A final cutscene will now play will showing Vic get the money hidden under the floorboards. When it has finished, walk out and take the money back to Martinez. Mission Passed.
REWARD = $100
