BRYAN FORBES MISSION SET CONTINUED:

 

    It may be worth while acquiring the AK-47 weapon on top of the police station - walk around the back, walk to the top of the first set of stairs then go straight onwards to the second and finally to the third (see this map for location). This weapon will help in this mission and the more difficult missions to come.

   

'Leap and Bound'

 

    Forbes is starting to give answers, but is he to be trusted? He says there is a dealer who knows some information, he will only meet one to one and doesn't believe in bodyguards. Get to where the meeting is happening in Downtown. You are given a set of binoculars and are told how to use them. Climb the staircase to a safe, distant vantage point. You must watch over Lance as he speaks with the dealer. It is an ambush! Rush to the pier to help Lance before it's too late. When you reach the pier a cutscene will trigger. The dealer drags Lance on to his boat and makes a getaway. Hop in the Comet right beside you and follow his movement. The dealer will lead you to the ship in Vice Port on which he has taken Lance on board. You have to get on the ship and rescue him. Take a long run-up and use the wooden ramp to jump onto the decking. Kill any of the guards outside before entering the ship to recover your brother. Once you're inside, head down the flight of stairs and eliminate the guard at the bottom, then turn left and left again to find yourself on the top of a set of metal stairs. Shoot the first guard on the level below you as soon as you walk through the archway and follow the rails. When you reach the bottom of the steps another guard will walk it spray him with your SMG and walk through into the cargo hold. Lance is tied up to a chair and there are three guards keeping him there. Kill all three and walk up to Lance to untie him. He heads back outside while you are left to pick-up contraband in various places on the ship. Two guards have entered since, and will be waiting for you at the exit. Take the one package inside on the balcony and head out on on deck to find the rest. Gun the first guard as he runs for cover and proceed in the opposite direction first - take the stairs to the top second.

 

Tip: Some guards will shoot at you if you are hiding around a corner, wait until they need to reload before popping out and taking 'em out.

 

    Wipe out the guards at the tip of the ship and take the first package and head to the stairway. Stand underneath it and pick-off as many men as you can from where you are, then make your way up the levels. Contraband (packages with green arrows above them) displayed on the radar as a triangle pointing upwards, are on a higher level than you are, contraband displayed as triangle pointing downwards will be on a level below you and contraband that is displayed as a square will be on the same level as you. Stay armed as you collect the packages and kill the men guarding them. All that's left to do now is meet Lance. Get back to the ship deck, take the Sanchez at the top and jump off into the pink halo marker below.

'The Bum Deal'

    Forbes reckons there's a contact who will give you exactly what you need at the White Stallionz bar. Get some wheels and follow the pink blip on the radar to get to the bar.

Tip: Before entering the bar shoot down the bikers outside from a distance. You will probably be coming out of the bar on low health, so facing another bunch of bikers outside is not what you will be wanting.

    Enter the bar to trigger a cutscene. The White Stallionz is a gay bar, full of bent bikers ready to brawl. As soon as the scene ends you will be punched, sprint to the corner of the left side of the club and use a shotgun to fend off the attacking bikers in two's or three's. The right side is full of another load of bikers. Walk in with a grenade and throw it towards the bar, to take them all out at once. Now leave the bar. It is crucial that you grab a motorbike, either a Freeway or a Bikers Angel to make the final mission objective easier. When you get back to the apartment Forbes is escaping on a motorbike. Chase him when the cutscene ends and press circle to shoot him dead off his bike. Lance is frustrated, he never had the time to find out about the big shipment, but is determined to find out. Take him back to his apartment and prepare yourself for the final mission on the Mainland.
