PHILL CASSIDY MISSION SET CONTINUED:

 

'Marked Men'

 

    Head to the 'P' on your radar map to continue Phil's mission set. Your enemy, Martinez is cross with Phil as he said he didn't trust him anymore. He wants Phil to go to some warehouse and see if all his merchandise is there, and wants you to go with him. It's all very fishy. Follow the pink blip to the lockup. Make note of the Pay 'n' Spray on your journey there, you might need it on the way back. Drive Phil very carefully to the lockup, you have all the time in the world to get to there, and getting there with no damage on the 'Phil's Truck' meter is a must. Remember that if you don't have any weapons, or want to get more ammo you can visit Ammu-Nation in Downtown or Stonewall J's in Little Havana.

    Drive into the marker. In the cut-scene, Phil will get out the truck. Three of Martinez's men will block his path and begin to shoot him. When the scene ends, get out of the truck and eliminate the men, which show up as red dots on the radar map. When you've done that, get back in Phil's truck and prepare yourself for one long getaway back to Phil's place. The alleys are blocked with Martinez's men's cars, force through them and speed up the street following the main road to Phil's place. A wave of Martinez's men will give chase to you in cars performing drive-by's when they are close enough. Phil will throw his boomshine in Molotov cocktails to destroy their vehicles. To shake them, the best you can do is move from one side of the road to the other, between road gaps and weaving from left to right among the traffic. When you pass the Pay 'n' Spray, consider getting your vehicle repaired. Your decision should depend on how damaged your car is and how far behind Martinez's men are from you. If you think you can make it back to Phil's in one piece from where you are, then save yourself $100 by driving on. Speed into the pink marker to complete Phil's mission set on this island.

    Martinez will contact you on your pager, threatening you and letting you know that you're still on his 'Shit list'.

 

LOUISE CASSIDY-WILLIAMS MISSION SET:

 

'When Funday Comes'

 

    Get to big 'Lu' blip on your radar map to begin the next mission set. In the cut-scene, Vic and Louise share their troubles and decide to forget about them and go and have some fun. Louise says there is quad race at the trailer park, and guess what? You have to come first... Jack a nearby vehicle and drive yourself and Louise to the trailer park for the race. Driving a quad is not much different to driving a car, as in you use the same controls. The handling and grip are quite different, however, and can take a few test drives to get used to. The course is mapped with checkpoints, which are represented by pink blips on the radar map. You must drive through all of the checkpoints - do not miss one out. Ride as wide on the inside as possible through them to save time, you only have to drive close past them for it to count. There are two laps to complete and three competitors, one being Louise. On the final lap, the final checkpoint will change colour to light green.

    3, 2, 1, GO! Use X to accelerate in open space, and hold R1 to brake whilst turning a corner - and brake very sharply. Slightly nudge the analog stick when turning, don't hold it down. If you hit a bump on the course, let go of all controls until you level out, then carry on. Forget the other riders are even there, just ride your ride your own race. So as long as you stay away from; the large hole in the ground, other riders (or any other obstacles) and don't fall off your quad more than once, you should be fine. Come in ahead of the three other participants to complete the mission. If you don't win first time, just keep at it!
